A machine that circulates and aerates the blood during most open-heart surgery procedures, while the heart is stopped so the physician can work on it.

Horner's Syndrome
Drooping and pupil enlargement on one side of the face, caused by damage to the nervous system.

Hyperhidrosis
Profuse, uncontrolled sweating.

Hypertension
Persistent and prolonged high blood pressure. It is defined as having repeated blood pressure readings above 140/90.
